Warm Contemporary Apartment
A refined apartment in The Greens shaped by warm contemporary design, with soft sculptural forms, ivory bouclé, natural timber, pale stone and layered ambient light.
Overview
This apartment in The Greens is designed around a warm contemporary palette, where soft geometry and natural materials set the tone. Curved seating, rounded tables and gently radiused joinery keep the plan calm, while timber, stone and textured ivory upholstery give each room its warmth. Living, dining and kitchen spaces are treated as one continuous composition. A shared material language runs between them, so the eye moves easily from the seating group to the dining table and on to the island, and the apartment reads as a single space rather than a series of rooms. Daylight does much of the work. Deep windows and fine blinds draw long bands of light across the floor, and concealed lighting picks up where the daylight leaves off.
Design Approach
Material contrast is kept deliberately narrow. Warm timber panelling, pale stone floors and ivory upholstery sit within a single tonal family, so difference registers as texture rather than colour: bouclé against polished marble, fluted timber against smooth plaster. Lighting is layered rather than centralised. Vertical strips of concealed light wash the timber panelling, recessed spots carry the practical layer, and a small number of sculptural fittings mark the focal points, among them a ribbon-form pendant above the seating and stacked opal globes over the dining table. In the bathroom the palette turns darker and more tactile, where veined stone and brushed bronze meet the same low, warm light. The same material language continues into the bedroom and walk-in dressing suite, where illuminated timber joinery, bouclé upholstery and pale stone create a quieter, more intimate atmosphere.
